Age 40 and not pregnant yet. When do we start fertility treatments?
Hi! I'm 40, almost 41. We have been trying to conceive for two months. I realize this is nothing in the context of fertility, but we are very eager to have a baby. We talked to a specialist yesterday who recommended trying for one more month, then switching to trying with Letrozole for three months, and then switching to either IUI or IVF. If we go to IVF, we would be using eggs I froze when I was 37.
How does this timeline line up with what others have heard? I had kind of imagined we would try naturally for a little longer, but I am obviously not an expert. I'm also a little worried about using all the frozen eggs right away.
