Exam - transport planning for strikes

I have a medical school final exam on the 19th of May, and it is scheduled to start from 2.30pm. My route is from Camden road to Stratford, via the Mildmay line (overground) which is not affected by the tube strikes. However, I am aware that the overground can get busier during strikes and I want to prepare ahead of this.

My plan is to leave at 12pm. If all goes to plan with the first train, I should arrive at my location by 12.49pm. Even if I miss this train and 2 more (get on the third train) I can still get to my location by 1.09 pm.

Does this sound like an ok plan? I have not experienced London transport during strikes before so I am a little bit nervous.

Thank you for reading
