Stationery haul from Berlin

Stationery haul from Berlin

Got back from a one week holiday from Berlin and I visited some lovely stationery stores (all recommended): Luiban Papeterie, Maido Okini & R.S.V.P. Papier in Mitte.

It's been a while since I hauled paper stationery. I was also lucky that my mom gifted me an early bday present, super grateful for that 😊

My first TN! Thrifted on Vinted

I had a hard time sourcing the original size in the camel color. Europe has temporarily run out of these it seems. Luckily sites like Vinted come in handy (:

Brass pin is from Baum-Kuchen.

Inside are the zipper pocket, blank MD notebook, self made sketchbook with Talens sketchbook paper and watercolor paper from MD.

I've read that this watercolor paper isn't the greatest and that the sketchbook paper is even better for watercolor. What alternative would you suggest next time? Some Arches paper?

NPD! My first non beginner fountain pen 🖋️

My boyfriend got me this Sailor Pro Gear Slim Dried Flower Mimosa (with a medium nib) as an anniversary gift at last weekend's Dutch Pen Show (:

It was a real steal for €150.

Inked with Sailor's Yurameku 2nd edition Suki Gokoro. On Tomoe River Paper.

On the first day I noticed I actually have quite a death grip on my pens as I tried out the PGS.

Now my hand is adjusted to its size and it's comfortable to write long passages.

Overall, as someone who's discovering this hobby the upgrade over my other pens is noticeable (have a basic Ferris Wheel Press and TWSBI Eco).

It writes so smoothly and the feedback hits just right ✨

Starting with improving my penmanship

I wanted to document the current state of my handwriting as I am slowly learning and practicing. The print handwriting was done admittedly more carefully as I usually don't write in print.

The bottom text is the handwriting I intuitively use; still struggling with maintaining consistency and clarity whilst having my own 'flair'.

I am always open for feedback and pointers (:
