How movable is washi tape?

How movable is washi tape?

I use this A4 5-year planner book to figure my life out, especially the kids time with their dad. I really like highlighting across several days when there’s multi-day activities/plans, but it’s a total pain when things change. I wondered about using different colours of narrow washi tape but is it really moveable? Like if a weekend that’s been planned for a few months needed to change, could I really peel the tape off and stick it on a different weekend?

How to Remove Brads?

Anyone have insights how to remove these metal pieces from envelopes? Sometimes I use a knife, but it doesn't seem safe.

Japan Trip: Itoya, Ginza haul

TLDR: amazing shopping experience this location consists of many small floors and each is like its own biome separated by thoughtful layouts and escalators, between the high-end displays, natural lighting and refined atmosphere akin to a modern museum it was quite nice. I got tired halfway through so I got on an elevator which took some time went to a lovely top floor or high floor restaurant relaxed and had a couple whiskey hiballs and a slice of pie and continued this lovely shopping experience, Ginza has a couple other stationary stores well worth a visit that I will cover in future posts

Last month I spent two and a half weeks in Japan from the 13th-30th in between being busy and jet lag. I’ve just got into going through a tiny portion of my luggage. I bought a lot of stationary a lot of places so there’s going to be a series of posts

Does anyone know where I can get this pen at a more reasonable price? What's a reliable website to get it on? Any advice on acquiring this pen is appreciated :)

Burgundy, burgundy, burgundy! Crazy how these three match so well.

I got the Al-Star to match the Leuchtterm, but I didn't expect it to be such a close match. I was waiting for over a month to break out Yama Budo (kinda an impulse buy), but I feel like everything came together perfectly!

What’s the name of this wire type from Filofax?

I’m looking for making my own notebook (I own a Filofax hole puncher for this exact same notebook) but I don’t own their notebooks, what’s the name of the wire? I know the standard wire 2x1 but this one has a bigger space between holes

Made my own Swatch Book

So I handbound a 120+ pages A6 swatch book with coptic stich and PVA glue. I used unwaxed linen thread (due to longevity I was worried about the acidity) and it was kinda loose until I glued everything with 2 coats. I used a pressing set up from Amazon and one of my 10Ib hand weights lol.

The first swatch did wonderful and everything dried quickly until I did the drops. Those took an extra 20 minutes to dry, surprisingly the ink wanted to stay in its bubble, same with second swatch, but it lead to an interesting result with Hubble clearly showing the green-bronze undertones! I need to go back and do chromatography!

That one is done on the backside of the first! The paper is Mix media Fabraino 108Ib, 160gsm and is surprisingly fountain pen friendly and smooth enough for writing. It is a bit chunky due to the gsm but the ghosting is almost impossible to see unless holding one page up to the light and even then barely imperceivable.

My stamps use Ranger white to create that faint outline, I do have clear, gold, black embossing powder but I want something low profile to focus on the actual ink. Might just try Versa watermark after letting the ink dry! Anyway, I really enjoyed making this and have plenty of paper left over to do so since I bought the 150 pad. Not sure if I want to trim the edges or cut and daub each side of the card to make it quicker to flip through.

How in the world do you use this little highlighter dispenser??

It’s not like white out or adhesive glue dispenser. I have no idea how to run the tape through the dispenser to put it down on the paper. Or am I supposed to use it like regular tape and just pull it out by hand and then rip?

I thought I could run it along the paper like Tombow whiteout and then pull it off.

I want to buy a proper mechanical pencil.

I want to buy a proper mechanical pencil, so I was wondering if someone could recommend a good one.

I’m Japanese. When I looked at the stationery in the photos people posted, I noticed that many of them are commonly sold in stationery stores in Japan, so I decided to ask here.

Up until now, I’ve been using cheap mechanical pencils that cost around 100 yen (about $1), which I got from events or as free gifts. The clicking mechanism doesn’t feel very good, so I’d like to get something better.

However, since I’m a student, I’m looking for something affordable—around 1,000 to 2,000 yen (about $7–12).

I understand that prices may differ between Japan and other countries, so please take the price range I mentioned as just a rough guideline.

Recommendation for a planner that has document storage?

I work a bit of an odd job where I have to constantly have an assortment of various forms for any situation while also having to keep my planner with me to write appointments, meetings, and specific dates just so I don't have any scheduling conflicts. I bounce between working in an office to then going out in the community. Really I just use the month view of my planner to write things in rather than the week or day to day view. But my planners keep falling apart on me with how much I bounce between office to car to meetings to community setting and then back to office.

I'm trying to find something durable and thin that isn't a padfolio because I'm trying to keep things as minimal as possible to not look like I'm bringing a binder with me because it can trigger trauma responses in the demographics I work with.

If anyone knows of something that could work out better for me, I would greatly appreciate the assistance
