Stationery haul from Berlin

Stationery haul from Berlin

Got back from a one week holiday from Berlin and I visited some lovely stationery stores (all recommended): Luiban Papeterie, Maido Okini & R.S.V.P. Papier in Mitte.

It's been a while since I hauled paper stationery. I was also lucky that my mom gifted me an early bday present, super grateful for that 😊

Sunday Stationery Haul for Drawing

My leg is hurting a lot today, so I have not been able to do a lot.

But just to get out and get a bit of fresh air I went to a shop that had some basic drawing supplies/stationery and get af few things to draw with.

My office Calendar for September - Some local Stationery/Journal workshops in Southern California. There are literally about 3-4 events per weekend. I have to believe that this is happening all over right now. ✒️📓💌

Here I go, making good use of my stamps, washi tape, markers, and pens!! 🎉

In my research on worldwide stationery events (evidently), I have built an algorithm for all stationery events on Instagram, so I've signed up for as many as I can attend, LMAO 😄, although Sundays are spoken for, as it's PATS football season and my Sundays are spoken for... #GOPATSGo

The second photo shows the supplies that I am now bringing to work each day. 👀

Need ink refills, not sure about which

I need gel ink refills for my S-Gel metallic pens.

I looked over on amazon and couldn’t find sharpie’s own model and wondering if it’s one size fits all. AI seems unsure as well (contradicting itself over and over).

Anyways if you have any recommendations I’d be head over heels… I particularly enjoy Blue-Black ink but know it’s rare, I would settle for black and blue.

Ideally something that writes smooth. I use these all day for work.

Does anyone have a pencil case recommendation for all of this stuff?

I'm hoping to get a portable pencil case to hold all my art supplies.

I like the idea of organizing them in sets, but a lot of the cases I'm seeing on Amazon don't look like the loops would fit the thicker tools like the copics, specialized pens, or sharpies. And I would need a loose area for the random things like sharpener, lead, ruler, etc.

Ideally it'd be portable but also easy to use at home. I'll mostly be using it at home, but I want the option to go to a coffee shop to draw.

Just wondering if anyone has any good recommendations. Thanks!

Question about zebra mildliner brush???

After years of having the same pack of mildliners (this is my only set of mildliners), I just realized that I have two duplicates of the same color (the two colors on the rightmost). Is this how this pack is supposed to be? Does anyone have this one as well to check? Because the bottom color variety showcases 10 different colors, no repeats. How did I never notice this, and is there anything that can be done about it at this point???

For those of you that are MUJI fans

Do you like to keep the label on the stationary products you purchase from MUJI? Or do you take it off as soon as you get it?

Stationary stores in LA/OC

Been exploring all the different stationary stores in the LA and somewhat of OC county. Would love some recommendations for any I missed! Specially for fountain pens, inks/samples, stickers, and functional stationary. Might also get into starting pen pals if anyone’s interested (using my PO Box for safety) or have tips.

Not listed is M.Lovewell which is great on Santa Ana and Flax pen to paper in Westwood!

Update: sorry, I cannot edit the title. Thank you to everyone who reminded me it’s stationEry, thank you! For everyone else who would like to use a correction comment to keep up your commenting streak, respect.

Hobonichi / Tomeriver paper for six ring binder?

I'm picking up a A5 six ring soon and I'm curious if anyone has paper recommendations? I'm hoping to find something pre-punched. I love iroful paper and I've always kept a hobonichi on deck.

I would love any fountain pen friendly recommendations.

Thank you! ❣️🖋️

Looking for a white pen

I have been looking for a 'white coloured' pen for ages to do touch ups and stuff. I live in the UK, does anyone have any recommendations? The ones I have had either didn't work at all or are like ink and they come out way too quickly. Thank you!

Folder recommendations?

Hi all, I am looking for a a nice quality folder to keep standard printer / letter size paper in. I would like one that seems up to quality with the rest of my stationary goods, but I've found folders to be hard to come by in the usual places I shop stationary. Any recommendations? I am in Chicago, so either Chicago specific or online recommendations greatly appreciated.

Does anyone else have trouble finding uses for their notebooks?

In the last couple of years I have amassed a small collection of notebooks and it kinda bothers me knowing they're all sitting in a drawer unused. I have a notebook where I plan my schedule/classes (I'm an ESL teacher) and another one I use to write songs (I normally do it on the computer, but for some reason writing lyrics longhand makes me connect more to the general ideas/feelings I'm trying to convey), and that's about it. I have watched some videos with journaling suggestions, but I tried regular journaling last year and it didn't do much for me as my life is very uneventful and I don't go out much (by choice). I would very much appreciate any suggestions, especially if they're not typically featured in stationery aficionados' videos.

Premium white board markers India

Hi! I run an education institute in India and have been struggling to get a high quality white board marker through any of the office supplies vendors. Please help with a brand that I can sustainably source through Amazon/vendors! The standard luxar ones are too bad. Price is no bar.

Planner Codependency

Not a teacher or student but I still use an academic year planner because of kid schedules, especially swim team, which starts to enter frenzy season here in Dec/Jan. I’ve learned the hard way my addled brain cannot manage that transition.
So now Sept is my switch over month and usually I’m super excited for new stationery of any kind. But this year I’m feeling extra emotionally attached to my 25-26 book.
I use an undated weekly/daily so technically I *could* keep going in the old book but October/November Me would be so annoyed.
To bravely attaching to a new planner! 😍

*edited to fix autocorrect misspelling

Already picked up my calendar for next year! 🗓️

It's that time of the year again when Japanese 100-yen shops start putting out calendars for next year!

Every year, I usually get a simple, minimalist wall calendar from Seria that has plenty of writing space. But when I was at Daiso recently, I came across this super cute fluffy animals calendar and decided to switch things up for 2027.

The 1st photo shows my current 2026 calendar alongside the new 2027 one. Look at that adorable long-tailed tit (Shima-enaga) for January😍 I’m already looking forward to turning the page each month.

Does your country start selling next year's calendars this early too?
