I went to a Slow Jams & Journal in Long Beach last weekend and picked up some new stamps. Also ordered some from an illustrator Authen Chen.

This will be perfect to also share on Saturday ❤️ u/jo_main, your kindness is so appreciated. I hope mine arrives soon. 🙂

I hope everyone is having a fantastic evening. 🎉

I attended the Floine Social Club event today, and I decided to stop at some of the Stationery shops along my way down to Orange County. If any of you want close-ups of anything, let me know ❤️.

It was another hot AF day in sunny Southern California, and I was drained by the time I fought traffic to get home. 😫

Tomorrow, I plan to clean up the California directory and watch some VLOGs on YouTube of Stationery Crawls in other cities. Will also dive into creating a Wiki doc here on our sub instead of it being a post.

PS. I have 2 Stationery events coming up that I am hosting so I am gathering supplies to share with attendees.

Something good is coming… 👀🚌 It's a bus ride!!! 🎉
A little shopping.A little joy.A lot of dilly dallying.

*added to the 2026 Calendar.

After putting together the Worldwide Stationery Events Calendar, I thought it would also be helpful to have a place where we can find brick-and-mortar stationery shops.

I'm starting with California, but I plan to eventually work my way through all 50 states. And yes... that's going to take some time. 😂 So please be patient with me while I get this together!

This is very much a work in progress and a community resource, and I'll need everyone's help.

Highty Hi!! 👋

You may have noticed I've been sharing more stationery events lately: festivals, markets, meetups, and, most recently, stationery retreats. I'm trying to be better at finding these events and sharing them with all of you. My question is: this is your community- do you want to hear about events? It takes time to research them, and I ABSOLUTELY hope you all feel comfortable sharing any you come across as well.

So please know that you can share your finds too!

If you hear about a stationery event happening in your area, bring it in here! Found an amazing little stationery shop while traveling? Tell us about it. Had a great (or not-so-great) experience ordering from an online stationery store? Please share your experience... speaking of which, I am also working on a directory that I will pin for Stationery shops across the Globe, to include a column that indicates whether they offer online shopping and free shipping.

Reviews and recommendations for both brick-and-mortar and online shops are welcome. Tell us what you liked, what you bought, what made the shop worth visiting, or what others should know before ordering.

The goal is to help each other discover more of what's out there. There are so many wonderful stationery shops, artists, events and little hidden gems around the world that we might never hear about otherwise. I know they are popping up all over the place here in Southern California.

One important distinction: sharing something you've discovered or reviewing your personal experience is different from promoting a business, event or shop that you own, represent, work with, or benefit from financially. If you're affiliated, please reach out to the MOD team first so we can make sure it falls within our guidelines.

Otherwise... if you find something good, bring it to our stationery table! 🖋️📬

PS: Full disclaimer: I'm in the hospitality industry, and my enthusiasm can't always be contained 🥳. So I apologize in advance if I seem like a nerdy cheerleader 🤓 or stationery peddler. I just want you all to enjoy this sub and find it informative.

TTFN
the MOD Squad

I like to share the presentation (how they are shipped) for items because, honestly, it is quickly becoming the way these independent shops 'brand' themselves.

So many collaborations are going on right now... my head is swimming. ❤️

If you have any specific questions about any product, please let me know, or if you want a better close-up, I will gladly share!

Noted is a very nice store! I'll write an official review on Yelp and Google later. If you are ever in the area, do make your way to this shop. It's perfect! They also had a huge variety of Pigeon letter sets.

If I'm being honest, I'm most excited about the Midori notebook and using the Versafine inks on my new stamps. 😂

I have more photos of their interior as well, but I don't wish to overwhelm our sub, so I will leave those for the reviews.

I am attending a local stationery event every Saturday from now until October 😎 across Southern California.

Here is my loot from shopping at Ink Paper Crafts; they have been on my radar since 2023. A two-and-a-half-hour drive is far, so I actually went to 2 locations. I will post photos of the locations later.

I woke up to the most kawaii, fun, friggin’ fantastic Hobonichi collab with Hello Kitty and thought my day was made. 🥹 Every Hobonichi year is at least 50% neko for me, and neko obviously means Hello Kitty. Everything was going so well… until I saw the words “Japan only” and got hit with that plot twist. 💀💔

I just confirmed a date for my next Pen & Paper Social in November, and I will also be doing an event in Monrovia at a bookstore next month.

Now comes the fun part of putting things together for mystery bags and tiny swag kits.

Also, not that anyone cares 😜 , but my aesthetic/theme that I like seems to be stationery supplies, tea, books, homage to music, and plants (not heavily into the botanical)

Tomorrow I am heading up the coast (getting away from this 100+ degree Southern California weather) 🥵 to check out two Stationery shops (1) in Ojai Noted and (2) Santa Barbara Ink Paper Crafts. Both locations have participated in the Annual Stationery Store Day, and I wanted to browse through them. 👀

Happy Weekend to you all. ❤️

PS. When I take the wrapping off the stamps, I will post a better picture with the impressions as well.

Good afternoon to you all!

I see that we have quite a few new people in the sub this week ❤️. Thank you for finding us.

I hope that you enjoy your time spent here. With the number of MOD-attention-needed notifications we have received, I think it's a good idea to revisit the guidelines. Please and thank you.

BTW, I don't know about your collective 'neck of the woods,' but here in Southern California, the Stationery boom has taken over in community workshops, social clubs, and pop-up events. Meaning you don't have to wait for a Festival or Show to come your way... There may be something happening, just on a smaller scale.

Wishing you all a fantastic weekend ahead.

In Gratitude,
MOD Team

I'm the MOD over on the r/Stationery sub, and I've started tracking all Worldwide Stationery-related events... apparently, this has set up an algorithm that notifies me of ALL events 👀, so I decided to keep an eye out for certain ones.

I'm excited to see this community thrive with all of the events and community gatherings taking place. Not to mention that planner season is upon us again, and sexy new notebook designs are being shown all over IG. I have promised myself I wouldn't buy any more... although I will be attending BunguLA in October, and there is no telling how many I might pick up there! 😂

Anyhoo, this is my share of the day.

Here I go, making good use of my stamps, washi tape, markers, and pens!! 🎉

In my research on worldwide stationery events (evidently), I have built an algorithm for all stationery events on Instagram, so I've signed up for as many as I can attend, LMAO 😄, although Sundays are spoken for, as it's PATS football season and my Sundays are spoken for... #GOPATSGo

The second photo shows the supplies that I am now bringing to work each day. 👀

Copied from their Instagram post:
