Will this Riverside commute to Orange county ever get any better??? Holy hell save me from this
I am single male with 1 cat looking for a room to rent in the Riverside or surrounding areas. I currently work in Riverside but I can commute from a nearby city. I am a quiet guy and don't run loud music or anything.
Note that the original canal and Gage canal are different
Please I’m in agonizing pain from infection and on amoxicillin already I need this tooth removed immediately
Hi everyone !! I’m looking for 3 roommates to join our household in Riverside, ideally at the end of September/beginning October, as 3 of our current roommates will be moving out. I’m especially hoping to connect with college students, recent grads, or working adults who are responsible, respectful, communicative, and looking for a stable shared living situation.
House Details:
Riverside, CA location, across from UCR dorms
Spacious Backyard
Private Pool
Shared common areas
Dog-friendly household. I have two small dogs (Peanut is a Scottish Terrier/Chihuaha who is very friendly/energetic and plays well with other dogs. Nala is my elderly Pomeranian/Chihuahua mix and does well with low temperament dogs. Very friendly, energetic, and loves to say hello).
Looking for people who are comfortable living in a shared home. You’re welcome to have your own schedule and lifestyle whether you’re home frequently or mostly use the space to sleep, as I am often busy with work and school, so sometimes you’ll see me, but majority of the times you won’t see or hear from me.
About the Household:
I’m currently living here and plan to remain in the home. It’s a household existing of 4 members (could be 5 because of a spare bedroom that’s not in use), but because the couple will be moving to SD for work opportunities, and my singular roommate will be moving because of the possibility of a mother and young child moving in, they are moving out as well rather than changing the existing household dynamic.
For transparency: I’m currently not listed on the lease, and we’re working through the process of determining how the lease/occupancy will be restructured once the current roommate moves out. Anyone who moves in would need to follow whatever approval and screening requirements the property management/landlord requires.
I’m specifically hoping to find three women, as this is an all women’s household however, I’m not opposed to living with a mixed household/men so long as cleanliness, respect of shared spaces and privacy, are comfortable living with dogs, and communication when needed is applied**.**
If you’re interested, DM me with a little information about yourself, your desired move-in date, and what you’re looking for in a roommate situation. We can exchange more details and arrange a time to meet/see the place. Thank you !!
I just wanted to share this story.
I commute to work using my electric scooter and the train. Last Wednesday, I was heading home after work. It’s about an hour commute, and honestly, the train ride is usually peaceful, clean, has AC, and there’s enough space for me to park and even charge my scooter.
That day, I started talking to a guy on the train who really liked my scooter, so we got into a conversation. Eventually, my station came up, I grabbed my scooter, got off the train, and headed home.
When I got home, I realized I had forgotten my backpack on the train. 😩
I immediately called Metro and reported it. Inside the backpack was my iPhone 11, my diary, a really good power bank, $10 cash, and some iPhone mounts I use for my blog. The representative told me that I had to wait at least 24 hours and that it could take 3–4 days for a conductor to report or turn in anything.
I was expecting the worst.
Then yesterday, something amazing happened.
I came home and found my backpack sitting at my front door. Everything was still inside. Every single thing. My phone, cash, power bank, diary, mounts—nothing was missing.
I have no idea who found it. Somehow, they must have found my address from something inside my diary and brought it all the way to my door. They didn’t ring the bell, leave a note, or ask for anything in return.
Just a completely selfless act of kindness.
Whoever you are, thank you. ❤️
I would do the same for someone else without hesitation. Kindness doesn’t cost anything, and sometimes a small act can mean a lot to someone.
Let’s keep passing it on. 🙏❤️

Now that I’ve provided a small list of conversation starters, I’m hoping to find something fun, consistent, and long term. No titles necessary. Naturally, I’m just a one man type of woman. I’m also a plant mom and I love to see how things grow when we nurture them. 🌱 “

The state ordered every city and county to plan for 2.5 million new homes by 2030. With the exception of just five jurisdictions, no one is on track to hit their numbers.” -Calmatters
Has anyone here had Riverside Public Utilities trim trees on their property that overhang utility lines? I have some trees in my backyard whose branches touch and overhang the wires going from the utility pole to both my and my neighbors' houses. The trees are healthy and do not drop branches, and the lines are coated, so there is not an immediate danger.
I looked on the RPU website and it says that they do send someone out to inspect and subsequently trim as needed, but it isn't clear who has to pay for that (is it the homeowner or a utility service?). I'm not in a position to have any extra expenses right now, so I'm worried to call them myself in case they send someone out and then give me a huge bill. (This isn't to knock RPU--we've had only good experiences with them thus far.)
Hello everyone!
I don't live in Riverside and have only ever rented, so I never really pay water/trash/sewers. I tried looking online but couldn't find a satisfying answer.
My family lives in Riverside (92503) and their water bill has averaged about $200 for a 3-person household with no pool. It seems a little high to me, but again, I have nothing to compare to.
Is this about right? Or should I be investigating?
TIA!
Edit: it’s water and sewer. But it seems the consensus is that it’s pretty high either way.
Hi everyone! My roommate and I are looking to rent/lease a 2 bedroom, 1-2 bath apartment for $2,000 a month or less. We’re looking to move in around September 1st and are open to a 6-12 month lease or monthly.
We’ll be renting with just the two of us and she has two very sweet cats so we’d be looking for a cat friendly home. 🐱🐱
We’re looking for somewhere with a short commute by walking or by RTA to both RCC and UCR preferably in a quiet and safe area.
If you know any apartments or rentals or listing that would fit pls send a dm! We’d appreciate any info !
What are the best locations for best Cardne asada fries
hello I am a upcoming ucr student and have been searching for apartments for myself and I have found three places where I am truly interested in but wanted to see if anyone had anything about them or had any other good options for a safe environment . there are the boulder creek apartments which were great but lack washer and dryer in unit which is important because I would be alone. it’s really close to the school and is very pretty it is I believe 715 sq feet. the next two are in the newer part of moreno Valley being the lasselle apartments at like 630 sq ft or smth with washer and dryer but 20 min from the school. there is also the villa annette which there is a 900 smth sq feet one that also has washer nd dryer but is also 20 min there are all roughly same price.
been wanting to brush up on my drawing skills; TIA!
Does anyone know what kind of cloud this is? I saw it walking my dog today.
