Never got into Violent Sleep Of Reason album, can you help me get into it?

Hey so Meshuggah is literally and by far my favorite band. I've had favorite bands before Meshuggah and I was never as addicted as much as I am with Shuggah.

However I seem to not understand or not really get into most of the tracks off of TVSOR sadly. It's an album I'd really like to love: I love the artwork, the production, the band's live sets but not in love with most of the tracks.

I find it hard to listen too so I very rarely play it from beginning to end.

However Clockworks is perhaps my favorite Meshuggah track ever with NMCC, and Straws.

I also love Born in Dissonance, like Nostrum and sessions of the title track and some parts from other tracks as well:

The groovy part with the solo in Ivory Tower

The end of Stifled

The beginning of Into Decay

The solo of Monstrocity

And a bunch of things here and there as well but overall I can't seem to get one song really stuck in my head besides Dissonance and Clockworks.

Can anyone explain to me why? What am I missing?

Was this a hard album to get into for you?

How did you get into it?

Guys, gals, I was extremely lucky to be able to see the full 5h35min version of this film at the cinema yesterday at it's only showing in my city. It was one of the most unique film experiences I've ever had. The sad thing though is the current blu-ray is a shorter version of this film even though the long version already exists since its release!

But this was truly a very unique film. A complete rollercoaster. Not only does the film deserve awareness for how good and surprising it is. But we need a Blu-ray release of the full 5h35min version !

It would be sad if it is never released in its full intended version because, this could typically be the situation where the long version gets lost and/or very few people are able to see it around the globe.

I live in a city with like 10 cinemas and only one cinema was able to play it for one single screening of 5h35. The room was full though and we all had a lovely time. But jeez I'd be depressed if no one could see this on bluray or something.

It's definitely one of the best 2025 films I've seen. I highly recommend it.
