Warner Archive's September 2026 Slate Includes Hanna-Barbera, Film Noir on 4K, Bette Davis, Steve Martin & More

Warner Archive's September slate is now available to preorder over at MovieZyng. They should give you an automatic 10% discount during the preorder period.

This label is continuing a momentous year with a huge slate this month, and it is filled with long-requested titles. I'm especially excited about Quick Draw McGraw, Bundle of Joy, Pennies from Heaven, and the 4K UHD upgrade for Out of the Past. What are you most excited to add to your collection?

Started my beloved collection a few months back. What do you think so far?

I started collecting late spring/early summer and it’s officially become an addiction. I’ve always had that “thing” I was obsessed with. Growing up it was mostly video games, then music, then basketball. As an adult it’s been women, drugs/substances, and sneakers (in that order chronologically) 🤦‍♂️. I gotta say this has been the most fun/rewarding vice I’ve ever had.

Needless to say I’m excited about movies and collecting. The only problem is there’s no one in my life I can talk to about the subject (my girlfriend tries bless her heart lol), so I felt the need to share my pride and joy here with Reddit. I welcome any and all questions, comments, thoughts, criticisms, roasts, and recommendations. I just like talking movies and collecting. Thank for taking a look!

*it might look like unorganized based on the first couple pics, but I have them in alphabetical order with boutique stuff, box sets, and steel-books first and then normal releases. It goes Arrow Video, steel-books, other boutique labels (Radiance, Umbrella, Curzon, etc) Criterion Collection, then everything else.

xbox one s the way to go?

Hi guys,
I've been looking for a nice player for DVD's, Blurays and 4K's recently, and from my research i've found that picking up a pre owned xbox one S seems pretty affordable and is able to do all three. I'm currently using my PS4 Pro which i do love, but it can't play 4K's for whatever reason. Just wanted to ask if anyone else uses this and if it's a good idea as they hover around $100 AUD. Thanks!

Blu-Rays from CeX

Great selection of stuff at my local one. Unfortunately no Schindler's List (only movie in my Top 10 I don't have a Blu-ray for), the hunt continues.

What's best way to filter on mass media sites for Bluray DVDs on deals?

I swear I go to Amazon and filter by Movies, Bluray, and Price or On Deal and the first thing they show is Yogurt or something unrelated.

Amazon and Walmart and BN often have good deals but I can't figure out the best way to regularly find them. Or maybe there's an aggregator site that I don't know.

Thanks!!!

Is bluray.com not working anymore?

I tried accessing the website everyday for a month and it's just not working for me, and I wonder if it's just an issue of accessing it in my country or if other people in other countries have that problem.

What movies or tv series that you like never got a release or complete series anywhere.

As above, I was previously only collecting 4K UHD but came to the realisation that there is alot that will probably never come out on 4K so I have been buying my favourite movies and series on blu ray going through my list.

I currently have found the below while I working my way through checking.

I have found most the issues stem from movies and shows owned by Disney unfortunately.

I am sure I will find many more while going through my list.

Movies

- The Beach
- Wicker Park
- Dangerous Minds
- Extreme Measures
- Homeward bound
- Homeward bound 2
- Murder By Numbers

Tv series

- The Americans (How this full series isn’t at least on blu ray I don’t know! Only the first season released on blu ray)
- Homeland season 8 (how can they release 1-7 and not release the last season is beyond me)
- The Handmaids Tale (only seasons 1-3 was released on blu ray)
- The Affair
- Nip/tuck
- The OC
- Normal People
- From
- Six Feet Under
- This Is Us
- Law & Order
- Homicide - Life On The Streets
- The Closer
- Modern Family (Only seasons 1-4 on blu ray)
- Love & Death

Best Way to Price Out and Sell Collection?

Hey, sorry if this is always asked. I just joined the sub today, can delete if this is spam for the community.

Wanted to ask what the best way would be to start doing an investment of values for my collection and start selling it off? I have about 350+ dvds and blu-rays from over the years.

Currently unemployed and about to have heart surgery so I figured it might be time to start unloading some things in my house collecting dust.

Can I ask what the best site or apps are to get values? Best places to sell? And any holy grails to look out for?

Thanks so much fir any help - and again apologies if this is repeated too much in the sub.

Used bluray pickup

All used except Rush Hour. Finding an And1 mixtape in the wild is kind of wild, I’ve only seen bootlegs as a kid 😂 I’ve only just discovered Del Toro through the devil’s backbone and pan’s labyrinth which I loved so Im excited to see Hellboy and I only vaguely remember shutter island so thats pretty much new to me
