Where would you mount your background speakers?

Cant figure out where to mount them. They're some cheap bose cubes on a budget mount

Need setup advice

So i was recently gifted everything you see here. Bose 401 corner speakers, 4 Bose cube speakers, Klipsch R-120sw, bose vcs 10. I have an onkyo tx rz30 on the way at the moment as this is just a starting point and i will be upgrading my speakers as time goes on. I just went ahead and got what seems to be an upper end reciever to somewhat future proof my living room setup. My question is, is it even worth it to run the wires for the cube speakers? I ask because everything ive read seems to be negative about these speakers. part of me wants to hook them up so i can appreciate the progression in quality but idk if its even worth my time atm. Also, given what i have here, what is the next thing that you would work towards upgrading? I wont say that im dead set on surround sound atm but that is definitely the end goal. Thanks in advance

Need some guidance

So i was recently gifted a full surround sound setup minus the reciever and i was planning on using my best buy credit card. Budget is 1k or below (not against open box or refurbished) and was hoping to get a somewhat future proof 7.2 reciever so that when i decide to upgrade my speakers i have a more than capable reciever to run all of it. Thank you.
