Parents who overstep boundaries?

Hello parents,

I’m a parent of teenagers and wondering if it’s easy to blur the line btw being a supportive parent and becoming enmeshed in their lives, maybe subconsciously or consciously.

Have you noticed friends who have teenagers overstep their boundaries in order to keep their teens “safe”? But now it’s seems controlling?

Do you have examples of when parents take it too far? Have you recognized that maybe you hover too much and then tried to correct it?

How much autonomy do you give your teen child?Curious to know your thoughts about raising teens in today’s world.

Thanks in advance.

Hello ladies,

I’m sure this topic has been talked about before. Apologies for any repetition!

I’ve been on NextStellis for 6 months. My doctor prescribed it because of the progestin for my PMDD. I can’t tolerate bio-progesterone. I was also taking 3-5mg of testosterone daily before probably for about 4 months. My testosterone results were low and I was experiencing muscle fatigue.

My hair then became oily. I experienced acne and hair shedding from the testosterone gel. She put me on 50mg of Spironolactone. Everything calmed down and then I increased it to 100mg two months ago to help my hair even more. Hair has been great!

However, the Estrogen in the NextStellis caused my breasts to increase quite a bit and my body changed, ie fat redistribution, feels softer overall, gained 5-7 lbs that won’t come off. I also still have PMDD symptoms, but not as bad.

She now says to begin Slynd, keep spiro at 75mg, still take 5mg of testosterone daily. She said it’s not a major switch. Eventually, I can go back down to 50mg because Slynd is a mild drospirenone, like NextStellis. She said my breasts should go down and gain more muscle again.

My concern is hair loss! I keep reading the change in estrogen can cause TE. I’d really hate for this to happen.

What has been your experience switching from NextStellis to Slynd? Positive? Negative?

Thank you! 🙏🏻
