Favourite stories where Dredd wakes up injured in a pit without knowing how he got there then has to beat-up lots of enemies?

Reading this week's great new Dredd story made me think of all the other stories where Dredd wakes up injured in a pit then has to beat-up lots of nameless goons

This is Titan, by Rob Williams & Henry Flint, from 2014

Non-Brits - were the Savile episodes of interest to you?

There was a lot of discussion on this sub but a sizeable contingent of King Tampon's loyal subjects haunt this place. For all I know, we were all just talking among ourselves

Non-US bastards are usually on the level of Pol Pot or Himmler

I ask you, people who have never tasted a Ginsters pasty, was learning about the awful crimes committed by a celebrity who meant nothing to you (and a culture that no longer exists) up there with the Scientology episodes?

The Savile episodes did better than Sylvia Browne but not as well as Epstein or Clavicular

Didn't want to use an actual Savile image. The Beano was the UK's top kids' comic - Minnie was a sort of Batgirl to the UK version of Dennis The Menace

Taika Waititi's Judge Dredd (is not really Taika Waititi's Judge Dredd)

By that I mean Taika Waititi has not leased the right to make a Judge Dredd movie

The film production company that has leased the right to make a Judge Dredd movie is Vertigo Entertainment

Vertigo Entertainment is basically a guy called Roy Lee

Lee isn't a cigar-chomping movie mogul, who argues with the director on set and tries to sleep with the leading lady

He's a sales guy who puts a pitch together (including talent) and tries to sell that pitch to movie studios he has a relationship with

Because of the way Hollywood works, Lee has his name on some big movies (Minecraft, most recently) but Lee basically sells low budget horror movies

Lee usually sells his low budget horror movies to Warner (now owned by Paramount), Universal, 20th Century (now owned by Disney) or Lionsgate

Maybe Lee's thinking of pitching a low-budget Judge Dredd vs Death horror movie to major studios but it's also possible he's thinking of branching out

Recent non-horror movies Lee and Vertigo have had their name on include The Long Walk, Boy Kills World and Don't Worry Darling

Low-budget, near-future, dystopian sci-fi movies that did okay or flopped

If Lee ever makes a Judge Dredd movie, it would not be a big budget blockbuster with a futuristic aesthetic

Like the most recent Judge Dredd movie, it would be one of the projects big studios pick up as an afterthought and release in a slow week

The two other producers mentioned by that Hollywood Reporter article, Platt and Viscuso, don't have any producer credits on movies

Last night's conversation about R Kelly got me thinking about the odd contrast between his tame musical aesthetic and what a repugnant criminal he is in reality

Probably a more fun topic of discussion is the opposite - when hellraising, debauched music is made by people who turn out to be your dad, in real life

Alice Cooper's golfing habit is the obvious one; Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson works as a commercial passenger jet pilot; and, although Blur aren't known for throwing TVs out of windows, it's still funny that the rhythm section make boutique cheese and run (mostly unsuccessfully) for local office

I'm Eighteen (which is a decent handicap)
