This is not specific to a recent episode, but more just on the topic of big tech / eugenics criticism & opposition; this sub seems like a safe and reasonable place to share this, given recent posts about inclusion, neurodivergence, etc.

This book came across my radar a handful of months back when it was mentioned by Dr Emily Bender on a podcast she co-hosts called "Mystery AI Hype Theater 3000", which you may gather from the name what it's about.

As an openly autistic person who vehemently opposes the AI Industrial Complex as well as eugenics / ableist agendas with the full fibers of my being, *I* needed to read this...and it is fantastic. It's a book written by an academic / researcher, but still approachable and accessible.

I've included a few photos including back blurb, table of contents and about the author as a point of reference and just felt like sharing. I bought it discounted and directly from the Springer Nature website, fwiw.

So there’s this group in Destin Florida called Reef Wranglers who build artificial reefs. I’ve never heard of them but apparently they had their own tv show. Last year they announced they’re building an artificial reef structure they’re gonna sink off the coast of Florida. Yachting companies are even offering people front row seats to watch it descend. In death, Charlie Kirk has finally made an improvement on society. A dead weight at the bottom of the ocean that algae and barnacles can grow on. Yes I’m aware that artificial reefs are actual helpful things, but it’s still funny and true to say they built a monument to him they’re just gonna dump in the ocean that no one can see.

Halloweens coming up and I was curious. If Robert ever decided to do holiday themed episodes, who would be Halloween themed bastards? The ones I can think of are Ed and Lorraine Warren, the pedophile ghost hunters who contributed greatly to the satanic panic, scammed families for exorcisms where they mentally tortured kids and interrupted actual murder investigations. Who would you pick for a Halloween themed episode?
