I'm still hoping breach of trust functions will reach utopia mode

The volcanic night function looks a little bit lazy. What makes me feel that is how the event started via a circle event (which usually indicates civil war) & stops the same way with no animation or cut scene illustrating the begin an end of the event.

I'm not saying it's completely lazy. I'm just saying it's rigid and arbitrary. Like it feels out of place & scripted, even though I enjoyed dealing with it & it gives plenty of soul to the game.

With that in mind, i just hope in time, everything we got to play with in breach of trust ends up in the sandbox mode. 11bit just needs more workdays and resources committed before letting us play with it without having to mod the game.

But I acknowledge the story frostpunk tell us about hope... And how naive it can be... But hey, game is great anyways!

Soldiers in utopia mode

I understand, PERFECTLY, it's not just as simple as putting the soldiers in utopia mode, considering the complications it could bring. Even if the 'stage coup ability' somehow only needed guard squads.

But if they ever do, i would like it if they were made in a way that they were always needed. A constant external threat of raiders or something similar, or enemy cities could be made in a way that they cannot be truly wiped out.

After all, a dystopia needs constant military conflict!

Communication hubs are love, communication hubs are life

Considering their description & it raises this game's equivalent of hope, i can't help but to imagine communication hubs as a sort of force for good. Not just keeping people aligned with the city's vision, but keeping people in touch with each other - telling them where to find something they need, how to help people & provide a natural form of cohesion similar to collective responsibility, just without the enforcement.

Considering this, i make sure the map is dotted with communication hubs when i can guarantee the materials income. It's a long term plan certainly, but the overwhelming surplus of trust can make the game close to unlosable & the "quotations from our steward" event can also reduce tension, as though they are all also fighting hubs.

And the way they tower over districts makes for a great screenshot... Like beacons in a dark hive of toil & hostility.

Is this bad strategy born from playing the game on easy too much? Or should I do the same in the breach of trust story?

What exactly is "secure rule" (aside from the obvious)?

The obvious being that there has to be a first step to take in case you are captain already.

But did "warrants & probable cause" have to wait for a civil war to be wavered? And being wavered for what? forcing all of the faction members to sign a pledge of loyalty (and that somehow works), or are they directly demobilizing them by taking their weapons away?

Because if it's just rounding up the radical members of the factions, i'm a bit confused as to why that doesn't create tension, like it does by using the prison abilities.

I'll admit, it's been a while since I reached for the captain's authority. So I might be forgetting something that would answer the question.

Thank you very much in advance.
