Flydigi Vader 5 Pro showing up as 3 controllers in Steam Input, gyro and extra buttons working inconsistently

I'm trying to get Steam Input to handle gyro and extra button mappings on my Flydigi Vader 5 Pro. I’m running into some weird behavior and hoping someone has some advice for me.

When I connect the controller, Windows shows three devices at the same time: **XInput Controller #1, XInput Controller #1** and **Flydigi Vader 5 Pro**.

In Steam Input I see three controllers: XINPUT CONTROLLER #1, XINPUT CONTROLLER #1, and FLYDIGI VADER 5 PRO. The 1 Vader Pro is the only controller I actually have plugged in.

In Space Station I see two Vader 5 controllers, one connected and one disconnected. If I delete the disconnected one, it comes right back the next time I reconnect.

If I set my per-game layout to the FLYDIGI VADER 5 PRO entry and close Steam Controller Settings, it reverts to one of the XInput entries.

At one point I was able to map the extra buttons and control gyro through one of the XINPUT Controller entries in Steam Input. This shouldn't really work since it's reporting as an Xbox controller? It worked perfectly in Pragmata and Horizon Forbidden West.

A few hours later I came back, started the game, powered on the controller, and got nothing. No inputs registering at all. Steam Input still listed all three controllers and Space Station still showed it as connected. I cycled through all three profiles in Steam Input and none of them registered any actions in game.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

* FlyDigi Vader 5 Pro (Updated version)
* Controller Version: [7.1.5.0]
* RF Version: [1.0.2.6]
* Dongle Version: [0.4.6.7]
* SL Version: [3.5.1.5]
* "Allow third-party apps to take over mappings" is ON in Space Station

Help tuning gyro responsiveness on 8BitDo Ultimate 2

I just got an 8BitDo Ultimate 2 controller and I'm trying to get a good gyro aiming setup configured via Steam Input for Pragmata on PC.

I have my layout configured strictly to Gyro to Joystick Camera, with the activation condition set to Hold to Enable bound to the Left Trigger.

The issue I'm running into is that the gyro feels unresponsive for precise aim. If I make small, slow adjustments with my wrists, the camera either doesn't budge or is jerky.

I did try setting it to Gyro to Mouse and the responsiveness improves; but when I do the gyro only works when I have activation set to 'none' and disables when I hold LT.

Has anyone else gotten this to work reliably?

Appreciate any advice or settings breakdowns from anyone who has dialed this in!

By the way, I'm using the Wireless version in Direct Input mode.

Also, side question - Is Direct Input mode the correct mode or should I be using Switch mode; and what's the most consistent way to activate?
