A crazy theory just popped into my head, recalling Rigr’s smirk from the last chapter when he found out Yuu is a Mikaela.

What if they fail to overpower Shinoa’s squad and he realizes they can’t win?

What if he decides to kill Yuu—to play on his team's emotions—and proposes a solution himself?

Since they’re so afraid of that punishment and don’t want to risk any of their own suffering, how about *he*—someone who isn't part of their "family"—takes the risk and resurrects Yuu in his mikaela mode

Of course, that’s arguably one of the worst options, considering that all three spells combined actually allow for an outcome where no one gets cursed.
