24M, Germany - Confessional Lutheran, Future Pastor, Looking for Something Serious

Area of study/work:
I currently work as a software developer.
I’m planning to start studying next year with the goal of becoming a Lutheran pastor in a confessional lutheran church body (for example: SELK in Germany, LCMS/AACL in the US)

Hobbies/interests:
Theology, reading, cooking, good conversations, youth work, church ministry, tech/software stuff, and honestly probably too much coffee.

Fun fact: I pray Matins and Compline every day, so apparently my idea of fun is a good daily rhythm rooted in Scripture, coffee, and ancient church habits lol.

Tell us a bit about your Christian journey:
Faith is not just one hobby or side interest for me, it’s really the thing that gives direction to my life.

Church-wise, I’m currently part of an EKD congregation here in Germany, but theologically I’d describe myself as a confessional Lutheran. I’m also involved in church ministry and youth work, and I care a lot about helping young people ask honest questions, grow in faith, and be pointed back to Christ.

Since I’m preparing for pastoral ministry, I’m also aware that this is not just a private preference, but something that will shape my whole life, my future family, and the way I serve the church.

What sort of person are you looking for?
I’m not looking for casual dating, but for something serious.

I’d love to get to know someone who loves Christ, values the church, and wants a family life shaped by prayer, Scripture, worship, and service — while still being able to laugh about normal everyday life along the way.

Because I’m preparing for pastoral ministry, I’m looking for someone who genuinely shares that faith, or is at least seriously open to becoming rooted in Lutheran doctrine and church life. I don’t think it would be wise or fair to pursue marriage with someone if that foundation is missing.

Age range:
Probably around 20-26, but I’m not super strict about that if the general direction fits.

Would you be willing to do long distance/relocate?
Long distance: yes, if there is a realistic path toward actually closing the distance eventually.

Relocating: potentially, but since I’m in Germany and planning to study for pastoral ministry here, that would need some serious thought and prayer.

Also, I used AI to grammar-check this post. My English is good, but not perfect.
So if something sounds a little too polished, blame the robot, not me. 😄
