Discount Codes
I made a purchase with an Etsy seller less than a month ago and used a code for 10% off. I don't remember the code. Since then I received a 10% code MYFAVTHINGS for something else from their shop that I had favorited and a 15% code MTFBWY which I believe was in celebration of Star Wars Day. I have read some of Etsy's policies and it says the highest of the coupon codes will be applied. In this case, not only wasn't the 15% applied but neither was the 10%. When I messaged the seller about it I was told you were only meant to use the codes once. I said ok, I used a 10% code once (I don't know if it was the same code) but I never used a 15% code so why didn't it apply? He just repeated that you're only meant to use a code once. This does NOT make sense to me. Why would Etsy send me codes I was not meant to use? And if they sent me a code a month ago and then sent me another one now, why would I not be able to use it? That would be like going to Kohl's or Macy's with a coupon and being told you can't use it because you used one last month. So how long am I supposed to wait before I can use a code again? 3month? 6months? A year? Can someone help me understand please?
