DS managers—how do yall keep your induct guns working properly?

I feel like induct guns are so archaic for amazon, the richest company in the world. They have connection issues, the lasers suck at reading compared to other scanners, and they crap out insanely fast. We constantly have guns that just won’t spit labels out correctly or at all. We send them off for repair, get some new ones back and bam, terrible again. What does your site do to keep an arsenal of working induct guns?

This has to be illegal right?

I’m an L6 at a bottom 20% benchmark site. I started as an AM last year. I’m now working 14 hours a day minimum. I have a CIM that comes in 5 hours after me, he never leaves the office. I’m running sort with 1 other AM fresh out of academy. Is what it is on that.

I haven’t had a lunch break in 1 year and 8 months. I’m now working 14 hours a day minimum. At my 12th hour I’m asked to hop on the NDP call. Good 10-30 mins depending on what site goes first. I’m BH, but the FH CIM takes all the calls, fills out all the quips, admins everything and still helps on the floor. FH CIM gets to leave at 10 hour mark some days.

I know the answer probably is “well the CIM is the issue”, but the site lead is there(new external, sucks ass). Why is the site lead asking me to take the calls do the quips, etc. I’m even better performance wise than the FH OM.
