Took Space Marines to Newport Open, although I wasn’t the highest placing SM player, my list served me pretty well!

I ran the popular combination of Reclamation Task Force with Librarius Conclave, Take and Hold, facing into a variety of different armies!

I was 19th after the 4th round only just missing out on top cut! Considering my 3rd round opponent was Richard Sieglar himself, i am absolutely not disappointed and thoroughly enjoyed the “battle” (was more like shooting smurfs in a barrel for him 😂) and the experience with one of the best in the world!!

Overall I went 6-2 and came 27th out of 187 players, not bad for my 1st 8 game tournament! 😁

The rounds/matchups were:-

Round 1 - Necrons - Take and hold - W (40 warriors and SK)
Round 2 - Votann - Priority Assets - W
Round 3 - AdMech - Priority Assets - L (world. Champ)
Round 4 - Emperors Children- Priority Assets - W (double crab)
Round 5 - Orks - Priority Assets - W
Round 6 - Grey Knights - Take and hold - L
Round 7 - CSM - Reconnaissance - W (only 1 crab)
Round 8 - Dark Angels - Priority Assets - W (10 DWKs + Lion)

Would I change anything?

I honestly don’t think I would! ATM to me it seems a pretty solid list for TnH. I think I can learn to play it better and this whole tournament has given me confidence in it. Im happy to play into any army!

Following up on my last post about the victrix and how Titus and Cato can go together, I looked into other potential combos the app allows but most are probably gonna be subject to change.

If things stay as they are:-

Titus can attach to wardens without having to attach wardens as support.

Wardens can attach as a support with other characters (that arent Titus)

Titus, Calgar and a normal captain can attach to victrix with Cato as a support

Inquisitors can attach even though a support character is also apart of a unit

Decent combos:-

It seems that our LTs can support a number of our characters now, standard one with a Chaplin is a cool combo with BG

Shoot snd scoot rievers thanks to Ph-LT with a Ph-Lib to give them lone op? Pretty decent!

Don’t know if I’ve missed many but if things stay as they are we have some pretty good flexibility to look forward to!

I know things haven’t been ironed out yet but this combination is a thing apparently 👀

So…. Intercessors’ basic weapons have precision apparently 👀
