I recently started collecting marines and I've been really warming up to the pre-primaris kits. Thing is I also really like the techy phobos "tacticool" look, so now I wanna try kitbashing them together. I know the scale is different but I reckon I can make it work, headswaps and whatnot.
So my question is what are some good value kits to look for that have lots of cool extra bits and build options?
how do you build your Sergeant? The rule of cool is cool and all, which is the better loadout gamewise?

With the changes to Eliminators what are people thoughts on their load out?
Losing the reactive move and dev wounds makes me feel that the Las fusils are by far the better option.
Though Lesser character models will still be exposed for sure when they dont have invuls. The loss of Dev wounds is a significant down grade for tougher characters.
S10 -3 D3+3 Las fusils from elevation or with heavy hitting on 2's vs monsters and Vechiles I feel is going to deliver more utility consistently in a list.
Bolt snipers now feel quite niche.

I always hated the stock models, but with these modifications, I kinda like them.
I am slapping together my Mk8 bodies with the new intercessor kit to make some more unique boys. Backpack flags, I sorely missed thee.
Has anyone used this in game? Maybe a 6 man with the buffs from the captain? Would it be a waste of points or is this something viable for lists? I love the look of gravis armor and think it would be cool to try. I was also thinking of trying aggressors instead but like the eradicator look more.
I know tactical sqauds and devistator sqauds are coming later but where the assault sqauds , bikers , attack bikes , ironclad dreadbaughts , command sqaud , thunderfire cannon , hunter and stalker , theres no excuess for them not being here other then gw being greedy and lazy and no legendry proxys are not a vaild excusses that is also gw being lazy and greedy it would probably take an intern 1 day to make these rules i could do it myself hell ive made custom rules and units its not that hard , ive back ported primaris to 7th if i do that gw has no excuse not to have these units here other then greed and lazyness

Legends is not a perfect system. Many units have disappeared between 10th and 11th editions, such as the Spartan.
One particular unit has survived the transition to 11th and has been updated accordingly... and it deserves some notice (not to mention it looks great)!
The Kratos Tank
M10, T12, SV2+, W18, LD6+, OC6
That is a very nice statline, slightly more durable than a Landraider. If you equip the Kratos with the "Optimum" weapons, you would end up with:
1 Melta Blast Gun, 24", 4 attacks, Str 12, AP-3, Damage D3+2 (Melta 3)
4 Lascannons, 48", Str 12, AP-3, Damage D3+3
1 Autocannon, 48", 4 attacks, BS3+, Str9, AP-1, Damage 3
1 Multi Melta, 18", 2 attacks, Str 10, AP-3, Damage D3+2 (Melta 3)
1 Hunter Killer Missile, One Shot, 48", Str 14, AP-3, Damage D3+3
You get this impressive vehicle and all this firepower for a very modest 240 points!
It's specual rule is situational - allowing you to fire into close combat without penalty, and to remove the Blast keyword from weapons if desired. The unit stands up on it's profile and weapons, and can be further enhanced with upgrades and rules from the Ironstorm detachment.
What does everyone think of this combo:

+ Librarian (to use psychic ability to give them 4+ invuln)
+ Ancient for improved OC and sticky, with the enhancement “Imperium’s sword” to gain the A6 WS2+ S7 AP-3 D3 melee.

What are y’alls thoughts on the new paints coming out?
I haven’t been painting for long, and really only started late May to June-ish. I find them incredibly easy to use though if albeit a bit opaque. Covering up mistakes seems a bit tricky, but I do like how vibrant they are.
This Blood Angel I did was straight from the pot for the most part. Very little thinning if any. The red was pot to model. Whereas everything else was mixing the colors I had available, like the skin tones.
