Warhammer Pro-Tone Thoughts?

What are y’alls thoughts on the new paints coming out?

I haven’t been painting for long, and really only started late May to June-ish. I find them incredibly easy to use though if albeit a bit opaque. Covering up mistakes seems a bit tricky, but I do like how vibrant they are.

This Blood Angel I did was straight from the pot for the most part. Very little thinning if any. The red was pot to model. Whereas everything else was mixing the colors I had available, like the skin tones.

1st Spacewolf

Still fairly new to 40k, and painting in general. I wanted a metallic finish, so I tried basing in leadbelcher and following up with my russ grey. Just a bit too opaque. Any suggestions?

Rules on Kitbashing?

I’m fairly new to 40k from a tabletop perspective.

I know that there are several “knightly” chapters, but I kinda wanted to do my own regardless. Which led to me mixing and matching what’s pictured here.

If someone brought these would they be acceptable as just basic intercessors? I wanted to kinda stick with all the robes, and etc. As opposed to buying an intercessor box, and building those.

More or less, this is how I want my army to look as a whole.

40k Newb/List Advice

Apologies if this isn’t related to this sub.
I’m pretty new to 40k in that I’ve never played the tabletop.

My buddies and I are wanting to get into it, and whereas they’ve all selected their armies I’m still on the fence about mine. I was playing with the idea of running dark angels, as I love the knightly aesthetic.

With that being said. How do you all feel about this list for a beginner? We were all starting at about 500 to get our bearings.

Need Help Deciding on an Army

I’m fairly new to 40k, and my friends and I are slowly putting together an army to play with.

Whereas one went Tau, and the other went with Chaos, I decided to stick with Space Marines.

Albeit, I’ve been having trouble deciding on what I want exactly. I know for sure that I want a “knightly” chapter, but of the three available I like them all.

I more or less would like to focus on making my own successor/chapter. Which would be this purple/tan beaky intercessor.

This has me leaning toward the dark angels, but I find myself gravitating more and more toward the grey knights, and black templars, as they encapsulate that look I want.

What do you all think? I’ve never played before, and I’ve heard that objectively the black templar are easier to grasp?
