Eliminators post codex

Eliminators post codex

With the changes to Eliminators what are people thoughts on their load out?

Losing the reactive move and dev wounds makes me feel that the Las fusils are by far the better option.

Though Lesser character models will still be exposed for sure when they dont have invuls. The loss of Dev wounds is a significant down grade for tougher characters.

S10 -3 D3+3 Las fusils from elevation or with heavy hitting on 2's vs monsters and Vechiles I feel is going to deliver more utility consistently in a list.

Bolt snipers now feel quite niche.

Thoughts?

First Company Assualt Terminators

Lysanders body guard unit to acompany him and his Ancient.

Hoping to get a game in to use this unit now they are table top ready before the rules changes.

Anticipating "Emperors Shield" will be going away.

Do I want another 5? Yes. Do I have the entire Armageddon box to paint first? Also yes.

Must. Not. Increase. Pile. Of. Shame.

Ancient in Terminator Armour, First company standard.

There was a bit of mixed information on whether First company is "The Emperors Shield" or "Fists of Dorn".

The IF codex supplement has it as "Emperors Shield".

Seems like it could be both.

Fists of Dorn is far fewer letters so thats what I have gone with!

Kept the storm bolter so when attached to Lysander and his Assualt terminators the unit is still "eligible to shoot".

Used the alternate banner top for some extra veteran drip.

Darnath Lysander

Finally got my Lysander finished.

Couldn't decide on the head being helmeted or bare so went for both. Magnetised the head and created a little spot under his tactical rock for the one not being used.

Recently completed an entire board of 40K terrain from scratch.

These are the centre pieces.

Saw an image from Duncan Rhodes some time ago and screen shotted it, used it at the basis for these but the detail evolved as I went. I believe he may have done a painting guide, never saw it myself though.

Happy to answer any questions!
