How do you know if someone actually wants to be your friend vs just being polite?
I sometimes struggle reading social signals.
There are people I talk to regularly, but I can’t tell whether they genuinely enjoy hanging out or if they’re just being nice. I don’t want to overstep or assume closeness that isn’t there.
