Hi everyone, I’m planning to study **Digital Economics and Business (DEB) at Università Politecnica delle Marche (UNIVPM)**.
I’m a Turkish citizen, and I’m wondering if it would be possible to do an Erasmus exchange **during my 2nd year at a university in Turkey**, even though Turkey is my home country.
Has anyone done something similar, or does anyone know if Erasmus rules allow you to do your mobility in your own country? I’d really appreciate any information or personal experience.

Hi everyone, I have a question about the Permesso di Soggiorno per Studio. I keep seeing the rule that someone with a residence permit valid for less than 2 years cannot stay outside Italy for more than 6 consecutive months. But does Italy also have a cumulative/total absence limit for a student permesso? For example, if someone has a 1-year student permesso and stays: * 3 months outside Italy * returns to Italy for 1 month * then stays another 4 months outside Italy That would be 7 months outside Italy in total, but no single absence is longer than 6 months. Would this violate any rule for the renewal of a student permesso? More specifically: Is there a legal cumulative limit (e.g. maximum 6 months outside Italy in total per year), or is the relevant limit only the maximum consecutive absence? I’d especially appreciate answers from people who have actually renewed an Italian student permesso after spending 7+ months outside Italy in total, split into multiple trips. Thanks!

Hi everyone,
I’m a Turkish international student planning to study Digital Economics and Business at UNIVPM and I have a question about staying in Italy during the academic year.
Because of personal reasons, I may need to spend some periods outside Italy and stay in Italy for around 3–4 months in total during the year (mainly for important university periods such as exams and necessary academic activities).
I would like to ask current UNIVPM students and other international students: would a schedule like this create problems with university requirements, exams, or the student residence permit (permesso di soggiorno)?
Of course, I would still complete my exams and academic requirements. I’m just trying to understand how flexible the system is in practice.
Any advice or personal experiences would be very helpful.

I would like to ask about attendance requirements. Are lectures generally mandatory in this program, especially during the first year? Do professors usually require attendance, participation, group projects, or in-class activities that affect grades?
I know exams are usually held in person, but I’m trying to understand how flexible the courses are during the semester.
