Photography spot suggestions!

I’ve started photography as a little hobby. I’m wondering if anyone had suggestions for any really cool locations to shoot?

Day One (and a long way to go)

I’m literally using a Canon Powershot SX410SI and lightroom to slightly alter exposure and a lighting curve. I’ve been doing this less than 12 hours and would greatly appreciate advice you guys may have as a starting point on learning photography.

I would LOVE to upgrade to a DSLR one day but I feel it fundamental to walk before I can run

Month 1 done! What I did to drop 20lbs.

Just finished my first month on 2.5mg! And wow what a month. It’s opened my eyes a LOT to the joy it feels to not feel hungry 24/7. I know 20lbs seems a lot of weight in very quick succession, but I’m going to take you through how, as I jab my first dose of 5mg (and why I’m moving up!)

⬇️

Before the medication came I ran all the research. A TDEE calculator for what calories I needed to consume to maintain, minus 500 a day to hit my deficit. I got a food scales and a subscription to MyFitnessPal. Honestly the food scale and any calorie calculator is an absolute must. Sure you can eat what you want and Mounjaro makes you full, but to get the best out of your medication eat your calorie deficit !!! The medication will block all food noise surrounding that, which will in turn help you lose weight according to your energy expenditure, so eat your calories as accurately as possible.

Exercise!🏃‍♂️

I’ve done some form of exercise every single day through the month of May. I’ve gone to the gym (this was a bit of an anxious thing for me to take on but we did it). The days I was off training I went on long walks to hit my 10k steps a day task, and I’ve just got back into running again. Of course the diet is 99% of it, but exercise will definitely keep you in a positive mindset! The feel good is what’s worth it🙌

No cheat days!👎

I genuinely didn’t feel like it was necessary. Mounjaro cut all cravings, and when I felt like I wanted to treat myself after a small milestone I’d just buy myself something physical not edible as a reward!

THE UGLY 🤢

Me and spicy food can’t tango anymore. I get incredibly bad indigestion and sickness from it, which was never a thing before! Oh and also, I keep my pen in the fridge. Don’t inject cold that sucker stings!

Finally, why I’ve moved up.

2.5mg is considered the loading dose and many people stick to it and that’s absolutely fine. As you can tell from my results, I’ve responded incredibly well to begin with but this last week has truly sucked. The hunger and cravings have snuck back from the dark shadows trying to get me to self destruct. I believe that the body has now become familiar with the medication and its benefits will lessen. I may not stick to 5mg depending on the next month, and the losses will not be as rapid as the first, but I shall update in 30 days with the next batch of results!

16.3lbs lost, so a little treat for myself! What do you guys do for your achievements ?

I NEVER wore gym wear before as I found it too snug and accentuating the parts I don’t like. I went to JD today after a big milestone and tried this on and it felt GOOD! So my treat to myself was a jacket to wear when I hit my walks to get my 10,000 step count per day. As the jacket eventually gets bigger on me, I’ll get another one to size down😊

How do you reward yourself ?

Final Week on 2.5mg!

When I first paid for this medication I was super apprehensive. I absolutely obsess over all the wrong foods and for a while it was not unheard of for me to have a Greggs breakfast of about 700 calories before even starting my day!

I’m now heading into my final week on 2.5mg and I’m officially 16.3 pounds down! 🔥

What nobody tells you is how that first portion of weight loss truly feels. My trousers feel a lot looser around the waist but in my own skin I can’t really see the changes as of yet. That’s when you know you’ve got a full journey ahead and there’s no cut and runs. For the long haul I’m in no doubts of my further successes! And this is where I’d fail in the past. Mounjaro wouldn’t block food noise, I’d be constantly thinking of food, hungry, I’d lose a fair few pounds and I’d give up because it’s too hard. But not this time. No chance 🫶

I don’t obsess over the scales. I don’t weight every day, I weigh once weekly. It keeps me from getting too emotionally attached to fluctuations in weight and taking averages. I know everyone is different, but I also tell myself that a scale obsession isn’t helping to create a sustainable lifestyle as when I’m off the medication I won’t be weighing everyday.

Am I leaving 2.5mg? Yes. I’m going to 5mg next. My reasons are simple, the weight loss IS effective on 2.5mg but the food noise isn’t entirely blocked out and every so often I have to remind myself of the journey I’m on. I’ll take a sip of water and it goes. The more potent the medication the more I believe I’ll be totally free of the noise. But who knows? Maybe not, maybe I’ll go back to 2.5, but wow I’m so happy 🙌

One week left before we go up a dose. How are you all getting on?

First big win came with first big realisation!

Today was weigh day! And I’ve officially lost my first stone! (6.35kg).

I was chasing that first stone thinking how amazing I’m going to look, and then came the realisation that it doesn’t really do much other than give you a psychological boost. The big realisation being, I’ve got more to lose than I thought ..😂

THAT BEING SAID! I’m only 3 weeks in and this hasn’t felt like a diet at ALL. The struggle is non existent!

I just got back from the gym and I’ve decided, instead of cheat meals which I won’t eat with mounjaro I’m going to reward these milestones with gifts for myself. So I’m about to tuck into the new James Bond game on the PS5 🙌

Stone 2, maybe a book. Stone 3, a couple of blu ray films. Stone 4? A new wardrobe 🤩

Fruit tastes…sweeter!?

Hey guys! So I’m about 10lbs down heading into my third week of mounjaro! My findings are pretty crazy when I go about my day to day life.

On my shop today I bought a packet of medley fruit (apples, grapes and pineapple). For the past two weeks I haven’t really ate them and I’ve disregarded my sweet tooth entirely, but thought I’d give it a whirl. And wow. As someone who used to eat insane amounts of haribos and chocolates, it’s beyond belief just how sweet fruit tastes! And the calories which are hardly anything alongside it!

Week 1 nearly done!

First week nearly done. Just got back from a glorious walk after a few hours in the sunshine and wanted to share my experience so far! So I’m not really expecting a major scale change on my weigh in/second injection tomorrow as I’m in this for the long run! What I will say is my effects kind of felt a bit lob-sided? So the food noise and the hunger only cleared up a couple of days ago opposed to starting out strong. Is that normal or due to injection site? I went in the stomach last week so I could maybe try somewhere else🤔

What I will say is I’ve thrown myself into exercising. I never moved this time last week. This week since starting, I think the cost and taking the plunge to take the medication has given me that level of accountability so I’ve definitely made more efforts.

I’m hoping in 6 months to a year from now I’ll look back and smile, but for now here we go!
