How to dispose of broken guns...

I have a Rock Island M206 that crapped put on me. It's a $200 gun. I seriously doubt it's worth putting the money in to get fixed. How do I dispose of a broken firearm and ammunition?

EDIT: P.S. For those saying take it to a gun buy-back, I live in a red state. We don't havr those.

Is anyone else feeling like they faltered along the way and never recouped?

I'm 40. Single. No kids. I'm and EKG tech, and I make 17.50 an hour. Where did I go wrong? Did I do this to myself? You always hear about millenials ending up in similar situations, but you all seem to be doing alright as far as I can tell(I'm very proud of you all, BTW. It hasn't been easy.) Can anyone relate, or do I just suck? I'm not trying to compare myself to anyone. I just feel hopeless. It all feels pointless.

Something I've been pondering about aesthetics

I know we have Steam Punk, Cyber Punk, Diesel Punk, etc. I was wondering if there's a subgenre of the more grounded post-apocalyptic aesthetic like The Walking Dead, The Stand, The Last of Us, etc. That point where manufactured goods still exist, but they're patched, faded, and improvised from other available materials in workshops. Is there a name for this kind of aesthetic?

Arts and Culture in Norfolk?

I'm interviewing for a job in Norfolk, and I will be relocating if I land the job. Outside of work, I'm a musician/photographer. I'm wondering what the alternative arts and culture scenes are like in Norfolk. Does Norfolk seem like the city for me? Thanks in advance.

What if a job offer sounds too good to be true?

For context: I'm 40 years old and live in Jacksonville, FL. I'm an EKG technician. I've been doing EKGs for 5 years at the same hospital. Before that, I was a mental health technician for 10 years. I currently make 17.50 an hour.

I've been putting my resume out for monitor technician positions because I feel that it's the next step up in my career. I received a call from someone with the HR department of a company that does remote cardiac monitoring. Basically, the patient wears a small device that sticks to their chest and allows someone to monitor their heart rhythm for several days to see if there are any abnormalities over a long period of time. My role would be the person monitoring on the other end. I can confirm that the technology is legit because I work with it at my current job.

The position is remote. It pays 29 an hour. I'll go through 11 days of training and receive a national cert. called the CCT. The HR rep says they have lots of room for advancement. She laid it out much better than I could, but it seemed legit. Benefits take effect immediately upon hire. I received an e-mail saying they would like to move forward with a phone interview amd that I should be anticipating a call to schedule the time. So, that's where things stand right now.

It just all sounds too good to be true. The pay bump is huge and seems too far beyond the average pay for monitor technicians. The job would require me to move to another state. So, if I move up there and found out I'm being scammed, I would be in an awful way. I have no friends or family to help me get back on my feet. I wouldn't even be able to get back to Florida to any professional connections I may have.

How can I determine the legitimacy of the company and what they're offering? Thanks in advance.
