Find your niche!

Best thing I've done streaming wise recently was find a niche category that I really enjoy playing. For me that's indie horror games. I love getting scared and puzzle solving and having chat help me figure out what to do next. It's a genre that seems to really get people engaged. Jump scares make for great clips and social media engagement.

Previously I'd just stream whatever game I was playing at the time. Valorant, Assassin's Creed, Destiny, World of Warcraft. The problem with these games is that the twitch directory is SO saturated for them. Why would someone watch me play any of these when there's hundreds of other streamers to watch who are way more skilled than me?

I still play games like that off stream and found something different that I enjoy playing more when I'm streaming it.

Now I have a small community of regulars who turn up each stream and stay and chat the whole time. I gain a couple followers each time I go live and get raids/give raids to other small streamers in the same category.

I'm sure this is obvious info to many but hopefully it helps someone!

How does 4/1 win loss and 2 match mvp = lower rank?

I just finished my placement matches for the act, haven't had much time to play prior to this weekend. Last act I finished at Gold 1. I won 4/5 of the matches and got match mvp in two of those wins.

Tell me HOW this game places me in Bronze 2????

Like Gold isn't even that good. And based on these five games, while playing against mostly Bronze players I'm doing better than most of them.

Valorant makes no sense to me sometimes.

I hit gold!

So I took a 3 year break from the game and came back like a month and a half ago. I placed Bronze 1 and quickly fell to Iron. Then I climbed the ladder and was 2 RR away from hitting Gold. Went on an INSANE losing streak and fell back down to Silver 1, almost back to Bronze.

Well last night I hit a nice win streak and was 8 RR away from hitting Gold. It was like 4:30am but I had to queue up one last one to make it. Most stressful game of my life. Of course it went into overtime but we clutched up hard and won it.

GOLD 1 BABYYYY

I know lots of people here are Ascendent+ but this is huge for me. Prior to my break I played from launch to whatever 3 years ago was and my all time peak was only Gold. The skill floor is a lot higher now so I feel this time hitting gold means more.

Number one reason this happened is aim. If you're in low elo do medium bots in the range and strafe on them until you can consistently get ~25 every time. Aim Labs doesn't help me. DM doesn't help me. The range works for me.
