Hey y’all - I’ve been playing since March and after trying a few different agents I soloed-in on KJ as I find her the easiest and most enjoyable to play.

For the past few months, give or take a month break here or there, I’ve only played KJ. I play with friends who are able to fill agents which makes me think I should probably branch out more.

KJ is almost never used in my rank so I have only ever had to swap out for another agent a few times when she was picked before I could.

Is this shameful??? I genuinely only really find KJ fun. I’m sure there are better sentinels to one-trick, but I find her pretty capable on all maps? (I’m definitely biased).

I feel like this is a bit too nitpicky and I really just want to ask out of curiosity, but I've noticed that Valorant's newer agents have more accurate and consistent looking in-game models when you compare them to their agent portraits/cinematic appearances. So far (in my opinion) every agent from Deadlock to Miks currently have the most accurate looking ones. Everyone else (excluding the ones without visible human features) either look really off or some parts of their face look too round-ish/don't look right at all.

I feel like the best example of who has the most off-ish face is Chamber. In the cinematics and agent portraits, he has visibly sharp facial features like a very prominent nose shape along with more angular eyes and a well-defined brow shape. In-game, his model looks more rounder and flat-ish as majority of the "sharp" facial features he possesses in his other arts are just absent. Why is his face so flat compared to the chiseled looking well-dressed gentleman we see in promotional material and cinematics?

The SECOND most off-ish face I can think of is Killjoy. Comparing her in-game model with her looks from the cinematics, nothing about her face is consistent with how she looks. I don't know how to describe it but in-game, Killjoy looks so puffy while her look in her portraits/cinematics make her look visually bubbly, cute and appealing.

I'm just really really curious as to why this is the case. I get that they probably won't update the older models, but it feels so weird staring at them in cinematics and then looking at them in-game. I do find it pleasing that the newer models are more accurate to their cinematic counterparts, but how come the older ones can't get the same treatment? It won't do anything to improve gameplay as you probably won't even care about looking at their facial features when you're worrying about winning the match but it sure would be nice for some changes. Jett managed to get her facial model reworked, so why can't the others get theirs reworked as well?

AITA, Okay I know this is a ridiculous argument to have with my friends. Long story short, we are playing valorant having a good time. The enemy clove is literally afk in spawn. not moving. not buying. Not shooting. not doing anything. Her controller is literally set down on her desk. 2 of her teammates buy odens and protect her in spawn. My teammate turns the corner to their spawn and says, "3 afk". Now I understand when you turn the corner of spawn and see 3 people in there, your first instinct might be that they are Afk. Afterwards, I jokingly said two of them were not afk because they were spraying me with odens. My teammate had a hissy fit saying they were AFK because they were standing still in spawn. AFK stands for "away from keyboard". They were not away from their keyboard because they were shooting me with odens. So I ask you reddit, were they afk or not?

There have been a lot of posts in this subreddit of people complaining about PS. Of those posts, almost all have come from duelist mains who are used to getting consistant topfrags with the old ACS system. The posts usually go about complaining "Oh its so unfair and duelists dont get rewarded and trash teammates and blah blah blah" and they are missing the point entirely. The system is meant to reward those who beforehand would not get rewarded by the ACS system. As a controller main, it takes so much more thought to place the correct smokes and use the correct util for an initiator or controller, or to hold the site as a sentinel than it does to rush a site on jett or neon. Im not saying this to put those agents down, either. those agents can have unique and thoughtful playstyles, but 90% of the people playing them are the same people who scream "BUT IM TOPFRAG" whenever someone criticises them, and the PS system no longer rewards that, and reflects that kills are not everything. While first bloods SHOULD be rewarded, context matters a lot, and the other things that are taken into account now matter just as much if not more. All in all, I think while the new system could use some fine tuning, it is not NEARLY as bad as people make it out to be and is BY FAR better than the ACS system ever was.

i've been playing valorant since 2022 and since then, my aim did not improve. there are games that i'm doing great (topfrag sometimes) but mostly, my aim is just totally bad. i tried changing my crosshair, my sensitivity, and still bad. i also did deathmatches, only to end up getting killed immediately. do you guys have any suggestions or advice on how to improve aiming? tyia

I just finished an unranked match. I don't play much and only unranked because I'm nearly 40 have a kid, wife, job. but I enjoy the competitive but casual aspect of Valorant. Was a former professional Halo player. But tonight was the first time I've played a match and was genuinely upset with how everything went. Not only was someone on the other team either cheating or having a Tenz in prime type moment. I got reported for AFK even though I never left, DC'd, sabotaged, I even filed smokes with Omen. And at the end of match comms was just getting cussed out by some chick. (She was talking to the whole team). I'm used to getting one of the three, cheater or smurf, toxic team mate, or false reporting. but never all three at once. The worst part is my daughter finally wanted to watch me play! Anyways, just wanted to vent. Hope you all enjoy your nights, and lets go G2!

Whats your longest streak ? I haven’t done the best in all my games nor the worst by any means. There was a guy in my lobby on my first gane where I lost and he got mad that brim ultd him in the choke outside of tree on acscent and his words were “that’s why you hardstuck silver because you solo ulting only me”. My thought process was it’s a 4v5 currently so I want to make it 4v4 so I have a decent chance . So I ult him because he was a free no brainer kill. I laugh and tell him “I’m about to be gold in a few games “ and he laughed ! I haven’t lost since…

Still stuck in Bronze and there are times that I have been demoted but it is easy to get back to this rank. Been playing 1-4 comp games per day now and you may check my tracker. Please review comp games only, as I only play DM and Comp for the past month.

Let me know what I need to change or be consistent with to improve. Changes I recently made is using Vandal most of the time as I have 20% HS for that gun. Ghost - Spectre - Vandal.

Hi Guys, hope i get a genuine advice and not trolling :). The purpose of this entire post is that i want to play and enjoy Valorant Unrated or Comp comfortably, killing confidently and getting killed (ofcourse).

1. I have never played story based or FPS games before. Except when i was in University at that time we used to play CS 1.6 on local LAN, i was good at it but didnt even know any thing about movement, crosshair placement, no training nothing, we just played thats it. I am not sure at all how much i played but i think 2-3 years maybe. (i was not extremely good at it but played ok, mostly did 1-1 on awp_india for AWP or iceworld etc)

2. In 2020 during covid, got to know about Valorant, tried it on my laptop, placed in iron. Didnt know what the hell was going on. I started digging, i came to know about headshots, strafing and other usual stuff. I tried to do Kovacs, aimlab and range, but couldnt keep up like couldnt do more then 2-3 hours max i guess (a little more maybe, dont exactly remember, its like 3-4 years back).

3. I only get 1-2 hours at night before going to sleep, i cannot give more due to job, family commitments etc. I mostly do 1 DM, 1 TDM and then unrated and usually get demolished unless if the other team is not serious or they are not better then us (which is usually rare).

In range, i get 10 Hard bots on average and 23 Medium bots on average. I have proper gaming mouse but my movement is wrist based, not arm based. Dont know exactly wht my DPI is but no body changes it.

I cannot seem to master or understand the game logic which ppl call game sense. I know that matters a lot but mostly i have seen on low elo like bronze etc ppl just rush and try to take gunfights. I just want to know where i stand and if i can improve or am i a lost cause and will continue to play like shit lol. Any tips for me?
