I'm currently using a 10 year old Steinberg UR22mkII, and while I feel it's well made and sounds alright, I'm wondering if upgrading it would improve the quality of my recordings. I mainly mic/track acoustic guitar, electric/amped guitar/bass and vocals. I upgraded my mics first, which helped, but I'm still not satisfied. Has anyone upgraded from this (or similar) interface? 2 inputs / 2 sets of monitors and headphone monitoring is all I really need. I was looking at Apollo Twin X Heritage USB edition, but don't want to drop the $$ if it's just going to get me the same result. Thanks in advance!
