lesser known nature recommendations?

I want to start by saying that I have been to many of the islands, including Maui before. I am well versed from speaking with locals and native Hawaiians on how to properly respect the people, land, and animals. I am hoping to be able to explore some “hidden gems” on the island if possible. I’m a 21yr old female and will be staying at the aloha surf hostel in August, and not really interested in any of the most touristy places after seeing it last time. Any recommendations would be appreciated. And- as always I will not geotag or share this with social media/anyone who will disrespect the island.

Thank you!
