I’m so upset and not sure how to handle this. I recently took my engagement ring to a jeweler to have it resized and it came back damaged. It wasn’t like this when I dropped it off and I’m freaking out. I do have insurance on the ring but I really don’t want to make a claim on my own policy when I wasn’t the one who damaged it. Would the jeweler normally be responsible for this through their insurance or I supposed to contact my jewelry insurance and let them deal with the jeweler? Has anyone actually had this happen? I want to know what I should be asking for before I go back to them.
