What’s your controversial wine opinion?

I’ll start expensive wine is wildly overrated for the average person. Not saying expensive bottles can’t be amazing but I think most people would fail a blind taste test between a well picked $20 bottle and a $100+ one. A lot of wine culture feels more about labels, exclusivity and sounding knowledgeable than actual enjoyment. I’ve also noticed some wine people act like sweeter or easier drinking wines are objectively bad when in reality most people just want something they enjoy drinking.
