I feel burnt

I really have tried on and off for years to get into osrs since its a game a few of my coworkers play. I love mmorpgs truly, but runescape as much as I want to love it idk how. I probably am dumb and I know god forbid I dont min max and look up guides. Ive been playing for a little over 40hrs and I feel like 80% of it was walking even though I have pushed magic and done some of the quests like fairy. I enjoy the game when im able to do stuff but I remember running from Rimmington to that desert place i forget the name to varrock and only being half done w a quest.

How do I enjoy this game more? Please i want to

Recommend some YouTubers please

I miss the high quality story telling videos that I used to watch. Nowadays all I get recommended are videos about strategies, mmm, updates, or people just playing and talking to their chat about random stuff. Is there any good YouTube's that go make content out of those categories?

also if you don't watch hypickle skyblock while playing are you truly a gamer? /s

why can't we just... give our friends loot without risking a ban

ok so genuine rant/discussion post. anyone else think it's kinda wild that Hypixel Skyblock still treats loot sharing outside your coop as a bannable offense?

like the whole game is built around friends playing together, right? that's the pitch. but the second you're not in the same coop (even if you're literally just questing/farming/dungeoning with the same people every day) sharing items becomes "item transferring" and suddenly you're in ban territory.

and I get WHY the rule exists on paper they're trying to stop real money trading and duping abuse, item laundering, all that. but the actual effect is it punishes normal social play. two friends grind a dungeon together, one gets a nice drop, wants to hook the other up since they're not in a coop together for whatever reason (self accomplishment, private island prefs, whatever) and now that's "suspicious activity."

meanwhile actual RMTers and dupers have workarounds and know exactly how to stay under the radar. the people who get caught in this are usually just... friends being friends. no appeals process that feels transparent, no nuance, just a blanket "any transfer between non-coop accounts = risk."

feels like the system optimizes for catching the wrong people while making the actual multiplayer experience worse. curious if anyone's had a wipe/ban from something this innocent. also curious if anyone's heard Hypixel talk about revisiting this system at all.

Tldr/tldc: in a mmorpg you shouldn't have to worry about getting banned over doing legitimate actions
