I will be starting mechanical engineering at monash malaysia this october and I am very confused on what type of laptop I should get? What programmes I will need to run? And if for the first year my current laptop without a GPU will be fine or should I upgrade before the start of the course. There is little info about laptops for engineering students on platforms such as YouTube so might as well ask here and see if anyone here has any guidance.
