Would Botox make sense in my case?
I have had an anal fissure for almost 1.5 years. It doesn’t hurt much but I do occasionally have retears with small amounts of blood. I don’t typically have lingering pain after a BM. Based on that, would botox even make sense for me? I am worried that Botox will leave me with pain that’s worse than the actual fissure. There are days where I have normal BM with no pain or blood so I don’t know if it’s worth the risk to get an injection in such a sensitive area. I have done pelvic PT with two different therapists and according to the PT everything externally looks normal, and all of the muscles feel/move as they should, however, the anus is a little bit tight. my PT and my case is a 3 out of 10 ( a pretty mild case). I’m just trying to weigh the risk for a case like this. I do reallyyyy need it to eventually heal so I’m not sure what to do. I’m so tired of the constant management of it
