VOCALIST (17M) LOOKING FOR A VOCALIST FOR A NEW PROJECT!!

Heyy!!

I’m Dinis, a 17-year-old instrumentalist/beginner producer from Portugal, and I’m currently looking for a vocalist to work with on a new song for Narcoleptic Kids!!

Narcoleptic Kids is basically my music project where I write the instrumentals and then invite different people to bring the songs to life with vocals. Kinda like a rotating cast of musicians.

I make everything on Ableton 11, and the current song is more of a dreamy, ethereal alternative rock thing. I’m looking for something atmospheric, emotional and slightly haunting, with soft/intimate vocals that can really sit inside the instrumental rather than overpower it.

I’m looking for someone who:

* Preferably is around 13–20, but I’m open to other ages too!!

* Has a voice that fits a dreamy/ethereal style

* Has some way of recording vocals

* Is willing to spend some time on the project

* Communicates well and is friendly and fun to work with!!!!!

IMPORTANT:

This is not meant to be some ultra serious projecttt 😭

Of course I want the song to sound great and actually go somewhere, but being chill, respectful and having fun comes first!!

You don’t need to be a professional singer. I’m much more interested in having a voice with character and emotion that fits the atmosphere than having technically perfect vocals.

If you’re interested, drop a comment or DM me with a small introduction of yourself + a sample of your voice if you have one!!

Hope to hear from you guys soon,

Dinis 🧡

Looking for honest feedback on some demos I’ve been working on

Hey everyone!

I’m working on some demos for my project Narcoleptic Kids, and I’d really appreciate some honest feedback from people who are into alternative rock music (or not, it's just that it's our focus hahah).

I’ve put a few demos together in the folder (link up ⬆️⬆️)

They’re definitely still demos, so the mixes aren’t perfect and some things are still pretty rough. What I’m mainly interested in is the instrumental itself.

I’d love to know what you think about things like:

- Does the song actually feel like it has a strong identity?

- Do the riffs/chords/grooves work?

- Does the arrangement keep you interested, or does it get repetitive?

- Are there parts that feel unnecessary or parts that you think need more development?

- Does the song build enough / have enough dynamics?

- Most importantly, can you imagine vocals fitting naturally over it?

- Are there sections where you feel like the instrumental leaves enough space for vocals, or does it feel too busy?

- What would you personally change?

The vocals aren’t recorded yet, so I’m trying to make sure the instrumentals already work as songs without forgetting that they’re ultimately going to have vocals sitting on top of them.

I’m not really looking for “this is good” or “this sucks” either. If something doesn’t work, tell me why. Brutal honesty is completely fine. I’d rather find the weak points now than discover them after recording everything.

Thanks to anyone who takes the time to listen! 🧡
