Hi. I’ve been on 10 mg of Lexapro for about 6 months and I genuinely couldn’t tell much of a difference in my behavior or mindset. Since I couldn’t get ahold of my psychiatrist or therapist, I’ve decided to quit cold turkey, rather than depend on this for the rest of my life, especially considering the people supplying it have been so wishy-washy about helping me. For reference, I’ve been on and off SSRIs for years. I’ve quit Sertraline cold turkey twice after taking it for years and don’t remember any major side effects. Same could be said when I quit Prozac cold turkey after taking it for a few months as well. I might still have a refill available if bad comes to worse, but I wanna see if I can tough it out. Considering how bad I was before and when first starting it (long story), I don’t think it could be much worse. Today is my second day of not taking it and besides a headache that’s gone away and a little bit of a floaty feeling, I’m not experiencing many symptoms. Any advice on how bad this could get and what to do if it does get bad? I also have 60 Ativan tablets for emergency use as well.
