I purchased a property 8 months ago. Now the builder is asking for 90% of the payment. They are saying that, as per the sales agreement, once the flooring work is completed they can demand 90% payment.

However, according to the Karnataka RERA payment plan, 90% payment can be demanded only after flooring, painting, and door work are completed.

Can the builder legally demand 90% payment now based on the sales agreement, even though the Karnataka RERA construction-linked payment stage is not yet fully completed?
