▲ 3 r/vaginismus
I was sexually abused in a past relationship and my GP informed me I most likely have vaginismus because of it. Smear tests are agonising and I'm afraid now to move on and find someone else. I have zero self esteem and perhaps that has something to do with my comfort levels (hate my body) and self conscious which I'm going to join a gym and work on my health
I see lots of things online about pelvic floor exercises etc. will this help or do I have to do therapy
If anyone has been in my situation I would appreciate it
