This is our scenario:
I am a retired veteran that is also 100% P&T. We have Tricare Select.
My 21 year old stepdaughter is living at home while she is doing her electrician education through an apprenticeship program. She lost eligibility for Tricare Select coverage when she turned 21. She has applied for the Ch. 35 DEA benefit but has not yet been approved.
Is she eligible for an affordable health insurance program as my dependent since she is still in school? She has health conditions that require ongoing testing, medication & management so it has become very difficult since she lost Tricare Select coverage. I just wanted to know if there might be a low cost healthcare benefit that we aren’t aware of.
