Hiking Trails in Yellow House Canyon

Hi all - I moved to Lubbock almost two years ago now and have been trying to find some decent hiking near the city.

I am aware of the municipal nature trails (e.g. Lubbock Lake Landmark and Dunbar Lake, which are nice for a little stroll) and I also know about the state parks ~1.5 hours away (Caprock Canyon and Palo Duro, both of which are lovely), but the lion's share of Yellow House Canyon is just outside of the city limits and I can't accept that there is absolutely nowhere to hike and see some nice views of the canyon walls or of the escarpment in the 35+ miles of its span.

From Google Maps, it seems like there might be some reasonable dirt paths just outside of Post or near Slaton that could be amenable for hiking or mountain biking, but there's no information available online from what I can see.

Any suggestions for nice spots / hidden gems?
