I’ve been testing Oscillatrade for a bit now and I honestly think it’s one of the most interesting trading tools I’ve seen in a while.
Most trading journals collect your stats and leave it at that. You look at your PnL, maybe review a few trades, and then repeat the same mistakes the next day anyway.
This feels more focused on the actual behavior behind trading and it’s been so helpful and fun to work with!
What I liked first was the accountability side. You get matched with traders that fit your style and schedule instead of completely random people. Sounds like a small thing, but it actually helps when the other person understands the same setups, sessions and problems you deal with.
The psychology features are what makes it different and worth using though.
It tracks patterns in your behavior and starts pointing things out over time. Things like revenge trading after a loss, impulsive entries, forcing trades, emotional sizing after a winning streak… stuff most traders know they do but usually ignore until damage is already done.
You get reminders and be confronted about this what makes it more than just a journal. Those emails/helpful reminders actually hit harder than I expected. Seeing something basically confront you with your own behavior after a bad session makes you stop for a second and reflect way more. It also helps you understand what drives your trading and gives helpful tips and advice (see screenshots)
There’s also:
- mindset prompts
- accountability tracking
- journaling tools
- bias detection
- performance tracking
- drawdown monitoring
The overall idea just makes sense to me because most traders don’t necessarily fail from lack of strategy anymore. A lot of people fail because they can’t execute consistently once emotions kick in.
The platform seems built around that exact problem.
Also nice that the UI looks so good and not outdated like half the trading journals online right now.
Also, there is an AI tool that has a tilt alert you can press and it’ll be supportive or very direct based on what works for you.
There is so much to tell you about Oscillatrade, but I recommend to try it out for sure!
Curious to see where it goes, but so far I genuinely think this could help a lot of traders become more disciplined over time.
