Hi U/kjell_lyfta_developer

Currently, when logging assisted movements (like assisted chin up and assisted triceps dips) we input the assistance weight from the machine. It would be really helpful if the app could also calculate the actual weight lifted by allowing users to input their body weight. The app could then automatically compute:

Effective weight lifted = body weight − assistance

This would make it much easier to track true progress without needing to manually calculate it during workouts. It would also allow for smoother progression tracking from assisted to bodyweight and eventually weighted exercises.

How it could work in the app

You set your body weight in your profile (and optionally update it over time)

When logging:

Enter assistance weight (e.g., 20 kg)

The app automatically calculates:

Actual weight lifted = body weight − assistance

Example:

Body weight: 50 kg

Assistance: 20 kg

→ Actual load: 30 kg
