Tips how to make Sorrento bearable in June?
Tagging along on a family holiday to Sorrento in mid June and I’m worried about the crowds… any tips on how to make it a bit more enjoyable?
Some background info:
We’re renting a house about a mile from the city centre, we might rent a car (have private parking).
I prefer soaking in atmosphere and enjoying nice food and wine, over a packed itinerary and ticking off every attraction in the area. I love the sea and picturesque streets/views.
Are my wants impossibilities?
Is there a pleasant way to see at least a small part of the Amalfi coast? Or should I go somewhere completely different?
Are there any gems in Sorrento, that’s walkable from the city centre?
Any beaches that aren’t overcrowded?
Is there a way to get to/visit Pompeji without having to elbow our way through the crowds?
The rest of the family will book day trips to Capri and other places, but I’m probably gonna skip some of it, think it’ll be too hectic for me.
Fingers crossed someone can help a worried girl out!!
