How exactly does the 0654 Coordinated Science weighting work?
Hey everyone,
I am sitting the IGCSE Coordinated Science 0654 Extended tier, taking Paper 2, Paper 4, and Paper 6. When I look at the maximum raw marks available on the actual papers, they add up to 220 marks:
- Paper 2 (MCQ): 40 marks
- Paper 4 (Theory): 120 marks
- Paper 6 (Alt to Practical): 60 marks
However, the official threshold tables state that the maximum overall mark available is 240.
How exactly does Cambridge scale or weight each individual paper to turn a raw score out of 220 into a final weighted mark out of 240? Does anyone know the specific multiplier or scaling factor they apply to Paper 2, 4, and 6?
Thanks in advance, and good luck with your exams!
