Pituitary Adenoma surgery+ normal labs but crazy hormones =?

I have a pituitary macroadenoma and I'm scheduled for surgery next week. My hormone labs have been repeated multiple times and have consistently come back normal, yet I've experienced severe hormonal symptoms for years.

I've also had PCOS since I was young, but everything seemed to worsen after I had my baby. That's when the adenoma was discovered as well. While there's no definitive proof that the tumor is causing my hormonal issues, I've felt completely out of balance since the postpartum period.

Beyond the physical symptoms, I've struggled with feeling disconnected from myself...dissociation, mood changes, emotional instability, and a general sense that something isn't right. I understand that hormone replacement may be necessary after surgery, but I'm wondering: how will I know whether the adenoma was contributing to these issues all along, even if my labs looked normal?

Has anyone experienced improvements in their mood, sense of self, or hormonal symptoms after having a macroadenoma removed despite normal bloodwork?
