In my experience (i tried once today, maybe some later) you will need to solve these two:

How can you join the world ASAP, and when i say asap, you should in the world at the moment of broadcast. There are 20 worlds you can guess which will live next (the intervals of race as i observe is around 2-4 minutes)
How can you perform, one thing is to familiarize the pathways of the event, the other thing is how stong can your internet hold up. Latency is another key element to percentage of winning (not 100%, as having both skills and luck still is important as well)
