An open letter to Spreaker (posting from throwaway account)
I've the Spreaker Anchorman plan. I've close to 500 podcasts (In the plan page, you've literally mentioned that it supports unlimited podcasts, it's all in the Anchorman plan). I've been publishing about 7000 episodes weekly. The episodes are AI automated in some parts, and there's no law or rule against it, your Terms and Conditions doesn't prohibit AI content. And your AD Exchange doesn't even mention about using AI at all. I've the ad exchange enabled for all of the podcasts. And you've blocked the ad exchange on all of my podcasts. I've messaged you on the live chat on your website, there have been absolutely no response from you. Received no email from you as well.
And people here, who'd try to hate on me for publishing AI podcasts, just get a life and stop being lazy. At least someone's doing something all by herself/himself. To publish like 7000 episodes weekly costing me like less than 50 cents while companies like Inception Point AI spending like $12000 for 3000 weekly episodes and burning all these VC money. And I'm not even doing it that seriously as I've a full time job.
If Spreaker or other platforms behaves like these, take customer's money and then ban ad features, it'll only force podcasters to become more independent. People can stop hosting with you guys, anyone can setup a WordPress website, host the audios, cover image, description, tags, keywords and other stuff there, generate the RSS feed and just manually add to Spotify, Apple Podcasts etc. People can partner with brands manually, run ad sdk and stitch that into the audios in pre-roll, mid-roll etc., people can do anything.
You're already a middleman and you're very much replaceable.
