Is American crew matte clay worth it (UK) ?

I've been trying to upgrade my hairstyle to longer slick back hairstyles and in doing so i've been wanting to switch to more heavy matte clays to help give my hair structure . So far my choices are:
- American crew matte clay
- Vo5 matte clay
- hanz de fuko (heard about this one only online, don't know much about it)
-Forte series ( I watch the youtuber guy who makes it)
If there's any other good products out there that i'm missing out on then please do comment them, but I think American crew matte clay would be my first choice because of how easy it is to purchase in store, however i heard it contains ingredients that can damage your hair (if this is true or not) so i'm here looking for opinions and alternatives for any matte clay recommendations, thanks
