Need advice from people who own B&W Android E-readers.

Hey guys. I recently bought a Color Bigme ereader, because I wanted to try the color feature. After a few months of using it I’ve realized that I actually don’t use the color feature enough to justify keeping it.

But the main issue is that I really don’t like the screen. This is my first time owning a color e-reader and it’s also my first time buying something that is not a kindle. When compared to my kindle (which I usually read with the brightness off), the screen looks so dark and gray, and I have to turn the brightness to at least 14 to be able to see anything.

I’ve heard that this can be from the color, but I don’t have any means to compare since stores don’t have e-readers on display where I live.

So for anyone who owns a B&W Android e-reader. Are the screens better/clearer? Or does Kindle just look better than everything else?
(I’m not really interested in the Kobo so I’m asking mainly about Android devices).

How do you keep up with new releases/information outside of the US?

I’ve been into country for a few years now but I’m not in the US (Brazilian but I live in Japan now, so, not exposed to country at all in my daily life) so I can’t simply turn on the radio and listen to new songs, and I have no idea where people get their information in general online.

Are there YouTubers currently active who talk about country releases and news in general? Or websites? I’m pretty lost and honestly I mostly get recommendations from TikTok which is not ideal because some of the stuff there isn’t the best quality.

(Please don’t be mean about my English lol)
